Gunpep TZ Injection 

contains Piperacillin Anhydrous 4 gm and Tazobactam Anhydrous 0.5 gm that is a combination antibiotic used to treat a variety of bacterial infections.

Piperacillin Anhydrous 4 gm

• Class: Antipseudomonal penicillin

• Uses:

  • Infections of the respiratory tract, urinary tract, skin, and soft tissues

  • Pneumonia

  • Sepsis

  • Meningitis

Tazobactam Anhydrous 0.5 gm

• Class: Beta-lactamase inhibitor

• Function: Protects piperacillin from being broken down by beta-lactamase enzymes, which some bacteria produce.

This combination is often used to treat:

• Mixed infections: Infections caused by both susceptible and resistant bacteria.

• Severe infections: Complex infections that require a broad-spectrum antibiotic.

• Hospital-acquired infections: Infections acquired in a healthcare setting.
