Radocef injection Composition: Anhydrous Cefriaxone 1 gm and Anhydrous Sulbactam 0.5 gm injection

Radocef Injection 

contains Anhydrous Cefriaxone 1 g and Anhydrous Sulbactam 0.5 g Injection is a combination antibiotic used to treat a variety of bacterial infections.

Cefriaxone

  • Class: Third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic

  • Uses:

    • Infections of the respiratory tract, urinary tract, skin, and soft tissues

    • Meningitis

    • Gonorrhea

    • Pneumonia

Sulbactam

  • Class: Beta-lactamase inhibitor

  • Function: Protects cefriaxone from being broken down by beta-lactamase enzymes, which some bacteria produce.

Combined Uses:

This combination is often used to treat:

  • Mixed infections: Infections caused by both susceptible and resistant bacteria.

  • Severe infections: Complex infections that require a broad-spectrum antibiotic.

  • Hospital-acquired infections: Infections acquired in a healthcare setting.
