Radopep GM 2 Tablets

Metformin Hydrochloride 500mg (SR), Glimepiride 2mg, and Pioglitazone Hydrochloride 15mg tablets are a combination medication used to manage type 2 diabetes.

  • Combination Medication:

    • This tablet contains three different active ingredients, each working through a distinct mechanism to lower blood glucose levels.

  • Active Ingredients and Their Functions:

    • Metformin Hydrochloride 500mg (SR):

      • It's a biguanide. It works primarily by decreasing glucose production in the liver and improving insulin sensitivity in the body's tissues. The "SR" indicates "sustained release," meaning the medication is released slowly into the body over time.

    • Glimepiride 2mg:

      • It's a sulfonylurea. It stimulates the pancreas to release more insulin.

    • Pioglitazone Hydrochloride 15mg:

      • It's a thiazolidinedione (TZD). It improves insulin sensitivity in muscle and fat tissue.
